Welcome to Catholic Ladies’ College! As Principal, I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to all parents and students joining us for Year 7 in 2027.
The transition from primary school to secondary school marks an exciting new chapter filled with growth, learning, and new opportunities. We also understand that it can be a daunting experience for your child. Our dedicated team is committed to providing a nurturing and empowering environment where each child can thrive, ensuring an education for the head, the heart and the hands.

A Smooth Start: The Year 7 Transition Program at CLC
Starting Year 7 is a whirlwind of emotions – excitement for new beginnings, anticipation of possibilities and maybe even butterflies! We get it. Our aim is to provide a transition program which prepares our students for the changes and challenges they face as they undertake their new schooling journey.
At Catholic Ladies’ College (CLC), we want the transition from Grade 6 to Year 7 to be a warm welcome into our vibrant school community. That’s why we’ve tailored the Year 7 transition program to cater for our wonderful new CLC students.
Our unique, six week ‘Thrive’ program focuses on building confidence, academic success and facilitating the development of friendships. We’ll equip your daughter with the knowledge to confidently navigate the beautiful College grounds, learn essential study skills and time-management techniques, as well as experiencing a taste of the wide variety of opportunities that CLC has to offer.
We hope that through our extensive Thrive program, students will arrive to CLC on their first day of Year 7 feeling confident, capable and excited to begin this significant new chapter in their lives.

We are moving from a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) model to a standardised laptop program, ensuring every student has access to the same device, software and learning tools. This provides a more consistent learning experience, enhanced online safety and greater support for families.
Our Student Digital Device Program ordering portal is now open via Centorrino Technologies. To order your child's Surface Laptop, please visit the portal.
Orders must be placed by 30 November 2026. An initial payment is required at the time of ordering, with full payment due before devices are distributed. Payment Plans are available via monthly instalments.

Our five-week Thrive Program is designed to help students feel comfortable and confident before their first day of Year 7. Over the coming weeks, students will meet other students in their cohort, begin building friendships and get to know teachers and the campus.
By the time the school year begins, they won't be walking into the unknown - they'll already feel a sense of belonging.
Please arrive by 3.55pm for a 4.00pm start. We understand that traffic can be unpredictable, so don't worry if you are running slightly late. Students should be dropped off at the McAllister Centre foyer. Staff will be there to welcome and guide students. We kindly ask that parents do not enter the building. Students can be collected at 5.00pm from the same location.
What to bring:
- Small backpack
- Drink bottle
- Art smock
- Cooking apron
- Hair tie
Students may wear either their current school uniform or casual clothing. We do recommend comfortable shoes for active sessions.
Our school uniform is available for purchase at Academy Uniforms in Thomastown or through their website.
Academy Uniforms will be offering fittings exclusively for CLC students at their Thomastown store:
- Monday, 2 November
- Wednesday, 4 November
- Thursday, 5 November
Additionally, the Parents' Association hosts a Second-Hand Uniform Sale to assist families looking for pre-owned uniforms. Stock availability can vary and not all items may be in stock at all times.

The 2027 Year 7 Book List will be available in Term 4 2026.
Families wishing to secure a place on a CLC Charter Bus for 2027 are asked to complete the form and return it to charterbuses@clc.vic.edu.au.
Please note that once you sign up, you are committing to the 2027 Charter Bus and the costs will be added to your first fee statement in late November 2026. Please complete this by no later than Friday, 9 October 2026. Please email charterbuses@clc.vic.edu.au if you have any further questions.
