At Catholic Ladies’ College there is a strong focus on community. Upon exiting the College, every student becomes a CLC alumni, regardless of when they left school. The use of the term alumni and not alumnae is twofold. Firstly, in the days when the College was situated in East Melbourne, the College once enrolled young boys; secondly, the term also extends to include members of the College Board, CLC staff and parents of past students – all vital members of the College community.

Our Alumni programme encourages continuing friendships and the strengthening of old ties amongst past students and staff, as well as maintaining a lifelong connection to the College.

With a thriving reunion programme, an annual Remembrance Mass and the involvement of our alumnae in College activities such as the annual International Women’s Day and Founders’ Day assemblies, Careers Forums, Debating and mentoring, Catholic Ladies’ College is very proud of its connections with alumni and values its links with the past. It is hoped that these connections will also provide inspiration for our current students.

We encourage all Alumni to register on CLC Connect, a directory where contact can be made with former classmates and old friendships renewed. Here messages can be left via a bulletin board, photos of events can be viewed, a business directory can be accessed and alumni can register to become mentors. Please visit CLC Connect to discover all the available links.

Old Collegians’ Association

From the very first years of the College in East Melbourne, former students established an Old Collegians’ Association.Today a Committee co-ordinates two or three major events each year – film nights / afternoons and the annual luncheon. These well attended functions bring together many former students. The purpose of the functions is not only to foster community spirit amongst College alumni, but also to raise funds which are used at the Principal’s discretion, often to assist with school fees where required. This is very much in keeping with the philosophy of the Sisters of Charity who have always served those in need.
